Thanks for the opportunity to be on the show!
The links I mentioned are:
http://apigee.com – free API monitoring and analytics service
http://sonoasystems.com – cloud service gateway and API infrastructure.
Your flexibility was much appreciated! Please do stay in touch. We’re keeping track of guests – where they speak, when they launch new products, etc.
Thanks for producing the show, nice to have a forum for this discussion to listen to on an ongoing basis.
In regards to security, I think your panel hit on a lot of the transport issues around security, but I didn’t hear a concern that comes up in discussions around data privacy in the public cloud.
Vendors such as microsoft are providing services to build “co-hosted cloud apps” as well as file sharing services itself and it’s unclear what the privacy picture is going to look like for these services. Leaving a credit card number on file is very different than leaving proprietary business information in a folder in ‘live mesh’ and leaving privacy to ambiguity.
Is anyone aware of an initative to address this? Perhaps a silo that allows me to keep public keys associated with my open id? Clearly I would want to keep my key management sepearate from my data provider, but what kind of industry support would be required for something like that?
Best Regards
